Job Description:
Overview: A leading financial services firm is seeking a skilled
and detail-oriented Tour Accountant to join their team. This firm
specializes in providing comprehensive accounting and business
management services to clients in the entertainment industry. The
ideal candidate will have experience in tour accounting and a
strong understanding of the financial aspects of concert tours and
live events. Key Responsibilities: Budget Preparation and
Management: Develop and oversee detailed budgets for concert tours,
ensuring accurate allocation of funds for travel, accommodation,
production costs, and artist fees.? Monitor and adjust budgets as
necessary to accommodate changes during the tour.? Financial
Tracking and Reporting: Track and reconcile all tour-related income
and expenses, maintaining accurate financial records throughout the
tour.? Prepare nightly show reports summarizing financial details,
including ticket sales, merchandise revenue, and incurred expenses.
Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds
are available for all tour-related expenditures.? Handle cash
advances, per diems, and on-site payments, ensuring proper
documentation and reconciliation.? Settlement and Compliance:
Conduct financial settlements with venues, vendors, and artists,
ensuring all contractual obligations are met.? Ensure compliance
with local, state, federal, and international tax regulations,
including withholding taxes and VAT.? Collaboration and
Communication: Work closely with tour managers, promoters, and
artist representatives to ensure seamless financial operations.?
Communicate effectively with internal departments to coordinate
financial aspects of the tour.? Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.? Minimum of 3-5 years
of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in tour
accounting or a similar role within the entertainment industry.?
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite,
particularly Excel.? Strong analytical skills and attention to
detail.? Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.?
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.? Ability to
travel as required and work flexible hours, including evenings and
weekends, to accommodate tour schedules.? Preferred Skills:
Experience with international tours and understanding of foreign
tax regulations.? Familiarity with the music and entertainment
industry’s financial practices.? CPA certification or progress
