part of, we would love to have you. ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE The
Psychiatrist will work to support the mission and vision of
Neighborhood Healthcare by providing evaluations and medication
management services to patients. This role will work with
psychotherapists, primary care physicians, and adjunct support
services staff. Additionally, this role will support the clinical
supervision and professional growth of other psychiatric providers,
such as Advance Practice Providers and/or trainees.
RESPONSIBILITIES Provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic
assessment, evidence-based medication management and treatment,
psycho-education, and follow-up to patients Provides health and
behavioral health services Provides Medication Assisted Treatment
to patients, as needed Provides personal information to and
participates in the credentialing process with managed care
companies Participates in process and program quality improvement
initiatives Participates in case conferences, departmental or
agency meetings, as directed Impacts patient experience by
demonstrating values of Transforming Care including, but not
limited to, courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to
accuracy Completes documentation timely, accurately, and locks
notes within 48 hours Provides weekly clinical supervision to
PMHNP, PA-C, or other advanced provider equivalent positions Shares
accountability for overall patient health outcomes, working in
coordination with Care Teams Operates to instill confidence in our
care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other
stakeholders EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE MD or DO degree Completion of
four-year psychiatry residency Completion of or eligible for ABPN
Board certification Valid CA medical license required Current CA
DEA licensure is required and is to be maintained as a condition of
employment Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through
an American Heart Association (AHA)-approved source is required
upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment.
AHA-approved courses include an in-person, hands-on skills check
with a certified instructor using a mannequin to demonstrate CPR
and emergency response techniques. Online-only BLS courses without
a live skills check do not meet this requirement. Valid DEA
Medication Assisted Treatment waiver to prescribe buprenorphine
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Ability to work well with other
team members Good written and oral communication skills; legible
handwriting and computer literacy and familiarity with one or more
word processing, spreadsheet or electronic medical records systems
Excellent customer service skills Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to
successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent
planning and organizational ability Ability to work as part of a
team as well as independently Ability to work with highly
confidential information in a professional and ethical manner
COMPLIANCE (Safety & HIPAA) Follow all safety procedures as
outlined in Neighborhood Healthcare’s Illness and Injury Prevention
Plan (IIPP) and report any injuries and/or unsafe conditions
immediately Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures
as they relate to safe work practices Follow all safety procedures
and report unsafe conditions Use appropriate body mechanics to
ensure an injury free environment Be familiar with location of
nearest fire extinguisher and emergency exits Follow all infection
control procedures including blood-borne pathogen protocols
Maintain privacy of all patient, employee and volunteer information
and access such information only on a need-to-know basis for
business purposes Comply with all regulations regarding corporate
integrity and security obligations Report all behavior and/or
activity that are unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful Pay range:
$250,200.00 to $425,300.00 annually, depending on experience
Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the
designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents
the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be
based on several factors, including but not limited to: the
candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data
and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization,
Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result,
placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay
grade range may not be utilized.
