Job Description:

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator with our client in their San Diego, CA location. This is a 12-month contract position. This position requires being fully onsite.

Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, schedule international air shipments and domestic shipments including specialized handling of very sensitive high-technology equipment, inspection systems and parts.
Interact with outside service providers and promptly communicate information received to various stakeholders internally and externally.
Prepare all required shipping documents for assigned regions or customers.
Track and Trace inbound and outbound shipments.
Coordinate the delivery of urgent and or oversized inbound shipments to the manufacturing sites.
Maintain department metrics.


Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience, or a AA degree with 5 years of experience in international shipping/traffic operations.
Basic knowledge of U.S. export regulations and experience in the preparations of export shipping documentation.
Basic knowledge of U.S. Import requirements.
Familiarity with SAP preferred.
Hazardous Material Certified a plus.
Working knowledge on letter of credit is preferred.
Must have great communications skills, strong work ethic, and be able to interact with various people in the organization to achieve common goals.
Candidate should be analytical; being able to foresee possible issues and drive for solutions.
Ability to exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Ability to not only multitask, but to prioritize work effectively and efficiently.
Ability to take direction from established Logistics Administrators.
Candidate must have strong administrative skills that will include online filing, telephone etiquette, order follow-up, and paperwork organization.
Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures.
Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Interacts with senior internal personnel.

Pay rate range: $25.00 - $28.00 hourly.
